The Crisis Center’s 10th annual fundraising gala at Diablo Country Club November 5th, 2011 was a huge success. More than 360 people attended and $283,000 was donated to support our life-affirming services.

We want to thank everyone who made this year's gala the best one ever. This includes our gala committee, whose members worked hard throughout the year soliciting auction prizes, packaging them lovingly, and writing discriptions of them for the program, plus was in charge of all the decorations. Our media experts included 1080 Vision, which created the video that was shown, and InVision, which created the slide show that displayed on multiple screens and handled all of the audio-visual equipment. In addition, Davidson & Licht donated TV ad time to publicize the gala, and board member Dan Ashley, co-anchor of the ABC7 News, served as master of ceremonies.

We're grateful to our sponsors as well, starting with Chevron, the presenting sponsor. The Twanda Foundation, Kaiser Permanente, Union Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, Diablo Valley Oncology, and others also were generous sponsors.

By far the biggest thanks go to our donors. Their generosity and support knew no bounds. Everyone's hard work paid off when the bidding began and people opened their hearts and their checkbooks.

Next year's gala will be Saturday, November 3, again at Diablo Country Club. Mark you calendars and plan to join us for another fun-filled night that benefits an important cause.
