Our agency is committed to making our services accessible and relevant to people of diverse cultures. We hire diverse staff, recruit and train a diverse pool of volunteers, and ensure that most outreach materials are bilingual. Many members of our staff speak Spanish, and we subscribe to a teleinterpreter service in order to assist callers in additional languages. Cultural competency is part of our mission and is included in all job descriptions and employee evaluations. We also host a monthly diversity film series and regularly publish articles on the value of cultural competency.
