Share the Spirit Grant Making Project

Welcome to the new home of Share the Spirit 2016!

The Contra Costa Crisis Center and the Bay Area News Group have partnered to bring the Share the Spirit nonprofit grant making project to Alameda and Contra Costa Counties this holiday season 2016.

The goal of the Share the Spirit is to enhance the holiday season (November-December) for those residents in Alameda and Contra Costa who are in greatest need by helping to fund local non-profit holiday programs and seasonal outreach.

2017 Share the Spirit Calendar/Grant Due Dates


The Bay Area News Group and Contra Costa Crisis Center are pleased to announce Share the Spirit 2017!

July- August, 2017 – Mandatory Grant Application and Media Training

  • attend one 1 hour session
  • sessions location/time TBD
  • limit 50 participants total (1 per agency)

August 1, 2017 – Grant Application Portal opens

August 31, 2017, 12:00 p.m. – Grant Application Portal closes

October 6, 2017 – Funds distributed/Grantees notified

February 9, 2018 – by 12:00 p.m. (noon)– Post-Grant Reports due

Digital versions accepted. Postmarks not accepted.
