What does connection look like in Contra Costa County?
Is it a mom finding rental assistance before an eviction notice?
A senior getting connected to food delivery?
Someone finally hearing, “You’re not alone”?
That’s the power of 211.
And now, you can bring that power to life through art.
🎨 The 2026 United Way Bay Area 211 Art Contest is open February 11 (211 Day!) through March 11.
This year’s theme: “The Power in Connection.”
We’re inviting artists 18+ across the Bay Area to submit visual or performing art that shows how access to help changes lives.
All mediums welcome — photography, digital art, spoken word, video, illustration, and more.
💵 Prizes include:
• $250 Regional Awards
• $1,000 People’s Choice Award
• $3,000 Judge’s Award
Online voting begins March 16, with final winners announced April 4.
At Contra Costa Crisis Center, we answer calls every day that start with uncertainty — and end with connection. Now it’s your turn to tell that story.
